Your personal in-destination activity will be displayed in your programme in the event app closer to the time. Where possible we have tried to accommodate your requests, whilst some activities have limited availability. Below is an overview of the activities and what to wear. Once you have received your allocated activity in your personal programme, please ensure you pack the necessary clothing.

A Journey Through Sri Lankan Flavours

  • Discover Sri Lanka’s rich culinary heritage in this hands-on cooking experience led by expert local chefs. Set in a scenic open-air kitchen, you’ll select fresh ingredients, cook four authentic dishes in small groups, and learn traditional techniques. Explore the vital role of coconut and spices, enjoy your creations the local way—by hand—and join a fun competition to win a special gift for the Best Authentic Dish.

  • You are welcome to wear smart casual or any attire you feel comfortable in. Aprons will be provided for the cookery session. 

Painted Heritage

  • Immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture with a hands-on mask-making workshop led by a master artisan. Learn about the spiritual origins and symbolism of traditional wooden masks used in rituals and dances. Paint your own pre-carved mask using age-old techniques and natural colors. Guided every step of the way, you'll leave with a meaningful, handcrafted souvenir that reflects the island’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Colonial to Contemporary

  • Explore Colombo’s colonial past on a guided walking tour through its historic quarters. Led by a passionate local host, you’ll uncover Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences in the city's architecture and culture. Enjoy personal stories, tuk-tuk rides, street food tastings, and visits to vibrant trading districts. With many colonial buildings still in their raw charm, now is the perfect time to experience this richly layered city.

Urban Pulse Ride

  • Discover Colombo’s vibrant spirit on a guided cycling tour led by a passionate local host. Pedal through colonial streets, markets, and scenic spots with cultural insights and local snacks along the way. Highlights include a blessing at Gangaramaya Temple, a stroll through Viharamahadevi Park, and hands-on experiences at Independence Square—try drums, dress in traditional costumes, and witness Angampora martial arts for a true taste of Sri Lankan heritage.

  • Activewear attire is advised. Closed shoes are recommended, and due to the activity taking place during the afternoon/evening hours, heat-resistant sportswear is ideal for comfort and safety.
