WHAT TO WEAR / PACK
For Buenos Aires in February, pack light, breathable clothing for the warm summer weather, and comfortable shoes for walking. Bring a smart-casual outfit for evening events and sun protection like sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. A light jacket can be useful for air-conditioned venues or cooler evenings. Don’t forget your essentials - swimwear for hotel pools, toiletries, medications, and a small bag for daily outings.
The standard voltage is 220 V and the socket is type C & I. Adapters are generally available at hotel concierge however they might be limited in numbers. Therefore, we recommend you bring your adapter with you.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
In Argentina, the exchange rate for the U.S. dollar varies depending on where you exchange your money. There is an official exchange rate, which is lower, and an informal (or "blue") rate, which is much higher and reflects the real market value. Many businesses accept U.S. dollars at a rate closer to the blue dollar.
If you plan to exchange money, it's best to check the current rates and use safe, legal exchange options to get the best value. Credit card payments are usually processed at a special "tourist" rate, which is better than the official one but not as high as the blue dollar.
