  • For arrivals taking place on Sunday, 9 November, transfers will be organised by our DMC partner, Walkers Tours. Please look out for the inVOYAGE signage in the arrivals hall. For guests staying at other hotels pre-event or arriving earlier than 9 November, you will need to make your own transfer arrangements to the Cinnamon Life Resort in time for the Welcome Reception starting at 7:30pm.

    Please note: The deadline to provide your flight information is Thursday, 9 October. We will be unable to provide a transfer if flight details are received after this deadline.

  • Departure transfers will take place from the Cinnamon Life Resort on 12 November. You will receive an email on 11 November with your transfer time. Transfers will not be arranged if you are staying at alternative hotels or if you are staying at the Cinnamon Life Resort past 12 November.

  • Return airport transfers will be provided for guests at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for attendees staying at the Cinnamon Life Resort. Please look out for the inVOYAGE signage. If you have any problems on arrival in Sri Lanka, please contact:

    For guests staying at other hotels pre-event, you will need to make your own transfer arrangements to the Cinnamon Life Resort for Sunday, 9 November.

  • All event transfers will depart from and return to outside the foyer of The Regal Ballroom at the Cinnamon Life Resort.  

  • Please try not to miss your transfers as we must manage the group safely. However, if you do miss your transfer, you will be responsible for your own transportation. Taxis are available at your own cost.

  • Everyone arriving on Sunday, 9 November will be dropped off at the Cinnamon Life Resort to check-in. The official check-in time is 15:00.  Please bear in mind that depending on your arrival time, your room may not be ready until this time.

    The inVOYAGE welcome desk is located to the left of the St Regis Saadiyat Island lobby, where you can meet the team and come to collect your name badge and welcome pack. 

  • Yes, and the hotel will require a credit card for incidentals at check-in. Amount TBC

  • You will need to check out at the Main Reception of the hotel and settle any additional charges by 12:00 on the day of your departure.

  • For guests that have booked pre and/or post nights, you will need to settle your account when you check into the hotel for any additional nights you have booked.

DESTINATION

  • The local currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee,

    Most hotels, restaurants and shopping centres accept credit cards. Some establishments may try to add a surcharge, which is illegal.

    Make sure you have plenty of lower denomination notes (Rs50, Rs100, Rs500), especially when travelling and you need to buy small items because change is often hard to come by apart from at hotels and big shops. To check whether notes are genuine when not given at a bank, look for a lion watermark.

  • For Sri Lanka there are two associated plug types, types D and G.

    Plug type D has three round pins in a triangular pattern and plug type G has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Sri Lanka operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

  • Cotton clothes are useful at any time of the year but you will need light woollens for the hills and waterproof clothing or an umbrella. Modest dress for women is advisable especially off the beach and when visiting religious sites. 

  • In Colombo during November, expect warm and humid conditions with an average high of around 30°C (86°F) and a low of 23°C (73°F), and be prepared for rainfall as it's part of the northeast monsoon season. 

  • Tap water is not safe to drink, and boiling and filtering is sometimes done too hastily in some hotels and restaurants, so the best solution is to drink bottled water. Make sure that the bottle carries an SLS certification and that the seal is broken only in your presence.

    Beware of ice unless you are satisfied it has not been made from tap water, and remember that the tap water you may be tempted to use to rinse out your mouth after brushing your teeth is unsafe. Keep a bottle of water in your bathroom for this purpose.

MEETINGS

  • You will see the details and timings of your 1:1 meetings along with table numbers in the ‘My Schedule’ module in the App.

  • Monday Meetings: 9:00 - 13:00
    Tuesday Meetings: 14:00 - 17:00

  • Your meetings will take place in The Regal Ballroom. There will be signposts with table numbers in the room and staff will be on hand to guide you to your table.

  • Contact details are visible in the guest list on each attendee’s profile. All inVOYAGE guests agree to share these contact details as part of their participation in the event and comply with GDPR / data privacy. We are not able to provide spreadsheet data. 

  • There are multiple open networking sessions throughout the programme for all guests to meet and talk. If you would like help, please feel free to ask one of the inVOYAGE team to facilitate an introduction.
