Inside London’s Luxury Event Scene
Leigh of 2B UK Shares Her TOP TIPS
AHEAD OF inVOYAGE Masters 2025
This October 19-22nd October, inVOYAGE Masters is headed to the UK’s capital for two days of professional development, one-to-one meetings, and networking at The Chancery Rosewood. To give you a behind-the-scenes look, we caught up with Leigh, Director of 2B UK, our host DMC, to talk about planning world-class events in London, what delegates can expect at Masters, and why using a DMC makes all the difference.
inVOYAGE: Leigh, we’re delighted to be partnering with 2BUK for inVOYAGE Masters - thank you so much for all your support in bringing this event to London. Can you tell us a little about 2BUK and your role as a UK-based DMC?
Leigh, Director, 2B UK: Absolutely! At 2B UK, we’re what you’d call a classic destination management specialist. We focus on getting the absolute best out of the UK for our clients, whether they’re coming to London, Scotland, or anywhere else in the UK. That means connecting them to the right suppliers, pushing venues to their full potential, choosing the perfect options, and creating solutions that make every program the best it can be.
inVOYAGE: And in terms of the inVOYAGE Masters programme, I know there’s been a lot of interest in the evenings we’ve got planned during the event. Can you give us a small teaser of what our inVOYAGERS can expect?
Leigh: Definitely! We’ve planned two really contrasting evenings that I’m very excited about. The first night leans into London’s history - but with a twist, because it wouldn’t be 2B UK if we didn’t add some surprises. Delegates will be dining at Banqueting House, which has one of the original Rubens ceilings done in situ. It’s stunning - a true master for the Masters! And then on the second night, we’re going completely the other way with an immersive evening of British culture at the iconic Horse & Guardsman. It’s going to be a lot of fun – a chance to connect with people, and experience a different side of London.
inVOYAGE: Should be an incredible few days. And not long to go now! With just a few weeks until kick off, how are you and your team feeling?
Leigh: Massively excited! Honestly, I’m not sure why it’s taken us this long to be involved -We’ve always heard so many great things about inVOYAGE. So being part of the first inVOYAGE Masters event in London on our home turf is fantastic. I’m really looking forward to connecting with the mix of clients and suppliers, and helping create a space that’s educational and energising.
For us, it’s all about the details. We’re known for being relentless about them. From the moment a guest steps into a five-star hotel, every touchpoint should feel like five-star service. But it’s also about creativity - we love adding twists, pushing suppliers, and surprising people in ways they didn’t expect. When clients tell us afterwards that the event was seamless, exciting, and memorable, that’s when we know we’ve succeeded.
inVOYAGE: And with inVOYAGE heading to London for the first time for our launch of inVOYAGE Masters, can you tell us – what makes London such a versatile and exciting destination for luxury MICE events?
Leigh: People often think they’ve “done” London - but there’s so much more to uncover. Whether it’s a venue, a restaurant, a hidden neighbourhood, or a cultural experience, there’s always something new. London constantly reinvents itself - pop-ups, new chefs, historical venues being revitalised, hotels opening every day. And what’s great is that it can work for any budget. There are big-ticket options, sure, but also plenty of hidden gems that elevate an event without a huge price tag. That’s the magic of London.
inVOYAGE: Can you share some memorable events you’ve planned in London?
Leigh: Oh, there are so many! We’ve pushed boundaries a lot - like hosting a concert at Westminster Abbey for a corporate client, or a dinner on the floor of Westminster Abbey. We’ve done street parties outside Tower Bridge Wharf for 800 people, and recreated festival zones at the Natural History Museum with music inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Those large-scale events are fantastic, but I also love the intimate ones - ten people in a private tower at the Tower of London can be just as magical.
inVOYAGE: For all the event professionals and corporate planners coming to London later this month, what practical advice would you give?
Leigh: Use a DMC! You can never get the full picture from Google – whether that’s workinig out if a coach can fit down a street, or if a restaurant can handle a group of 50. Be open to suggestions and let local experts guide you. Formats that work elsewhere might not translate directly here. And don’t forget: the details matter, so plan carefully and be flexible.
inVOYAGE: And, what would you like our delegates to take away from their time at inVOYAGE Masters?
Leigh: I want them to leave inspired, with renewed energy and ideas. Even if we don’t have a huge amount of time for tours, just walking the streets, looking at the architecture, feeling the vibe - it reminds you why London is such a compelling destination for events. I want them to see that whether you’ve been here once or ten times, London has the power to surprise and inspire.
inVOYAGE: Do you have a favourite spot right now in London?
Leigh: Oh, so many! Abbey Road Studios is a fun one - it’s exclusive, but perfect for unique experiences. I love leaning into London’s forward-thinking elements too - fashion, design, architecture, food culture. We’re spoilt for choice with restaurants, many Michelin-starred, which makes dining experiences amazing to integrate into events.
inVOYAGE: An incredible place for our first launch of inVOYAGE Masters.
Leigh: Absolutely! We’re really proud to be part of inVOYAGE Masters, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to London this October. It’s going to be a fantastic experience.
